Dear Ryan:
This is just a quick note to thank you for turning my new Lab
into a well-behaved and enjoyable member our family!
When I got Star from the Humane Society, she was an abuse case
where she had been beaten and yelled at to the point where she
was taken from the individual's home and put in the shelter.
Although she was sweet an dabvoiusly wanted a good home, she
was no housebroken and did not respond to my attempts to direct
her. In addition, she was confused, traumatized and afraid of everything.
After three months of having her in and out of a training pen,
constantly cleaning up after her and spending money on dog training
books, I was at the end of my rope. I couldn't take her back to
the shelter and live with myself, and couldn't live in my house.
After five sessions with you directing us to train her as well
as the perfect housebreaking schedule you set up for us, Star has
become the dog I had hoped and -- needle to say, she is much happier
because she understands what is expected of her and acts accordingly.
No I can leave her and my other dog together during the day, not
in the training pen, and after almost two weeks, we have not had
one problem. The speed with which you straightened her out was
amazing.
We are still working on commands which
take constant repetition like "com" and the door training, but
she is showing constant progress. She is more relaxed and is
eating better, because she knows she is dong what is expected
of her. I see her sensitivity and fear diminishing as well.
If you haven't already, you should leave brochures and the Boca
Raton Humane Society on Boca Rio Rd. The director, Reik Jensen,
is a friend of min and I know she will be impressed with Star when
she sees her again.
Thanks again, Ryan! I highly recommend
your services to anyone with a pet . . Good luck in your
new facility -- We'll be out to see you.
Sincerely,
Tara and Star
